Within the framework of the visit and work in Vietnam on the occasion of the 46th meeting of the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Committee, on the afternoon of January 6, Ms. Le Thi Bich Tran, wife of Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh and Ms. Vandara Siphandone, wife of Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone visited Thai Binh province.

SOS Children's Village Thai Binh has been operating since December 2013, and has received, nurtured and educated a total of 218 children. Child care and nurturing, programs and sponsored projects are guaranteed and implemented according to State regulations. Children in the Village are allowed to study at schools in and outside the province, have their talents discovered and nurtured, receive career guidance and create conditions for comprehensive development.

Nam Cao Linen Silk Cooperative was established in 2017 on the basis of restoring the traditional Nam Cao linen weaving craft village in Nam Duong Dong village, Nam Cao commune, which has a history of hundreds of years. Currently, the Cooperative has more than 200 members with more than 1,000 workers participating in stages from growing mulberry to raising silkworms, spinning silk to weaving, operating according to the craft village model combined with experiential tourism, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists. The annual revenue of the Cooperative reaches over 10 billion VND. The Cooperative's products are mainly linen silk, scarves, fashion products and interior upholstery, decorative curtains exported to 20 countries around the world, of which a large volume is exported to the Lao market.

The Prime Minister's wife of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Prime Minister's wife of the Lao People's Democratic Republic were very impressed by the dynamism, creativity and hospitality of the local government and people, respected and appreciated the aesthetic values ​​of linen silk products, and at the same time suggested directions to develop the Nam Cao linen silk brand sustainably, spread its values, and reach out to become a typical product of Thai Binh and the country.
