ANTD.VN - Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan - Deputy General Director of Vinaconex has just been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vimeco from March 18, 2025.
Vimeco Joint Stock Company (stock code: VMC) has just announced the Resolution of the Board of Directors (BOD) on the election of the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2023 - 2028 term.
Accordingly, Vimeco decided to appoint Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan as Chairman of the Board of Directors from March 18, 2025.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Tuan was a member of the Board of Directors of Vimeco. He was also Deputy General Director of Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex, stock code: VCG).

Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan was born in 1978, has a Bachelor of Economics in Finance - Banking and a Master of Business Administration.
Notably, Mr. Tuan's appointment took place in the context that Vinaconex had just successfully sold more than 12.1 million VMC shares on December 23, 2024, thereby reducing its ownership ratio at Vimeco from 51.41% (equivalent to 13.4 million shares) to 5% (equivalent to 1.3 million shares). Thereby, Vinaconex is officially no longer the parent company of Vimeco.
At Vimeco's annual general meeting of shareholders on March 18, in response to shareholders' questions regarding Vinaconex's divestment, Vimeco's Board of Directors affirmed that in addition to ownership, the relationship between Vinaconex and Vimeco is also that of being a long-term strategic partner.
Vinaconex still has Deputy General Director - Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan participating in the Board of Directors of Vimeco. At the same time, Vinaconex will still need the potential and strengths of Vimeco. The advantages will not be affected, on the contrary, Vimeco will also be more proactive in the production and business activities.
In addition to appointing Mr. Tran Dinh Tuan, Vimeco also elected 2 additional members to the Board of Directors.
Specifically, two Deputy General Directors, Mr. Nguyen Dac Truong and Mr. Vu Minh Hoang, were both appointed as members of the Board of Directors.
On the contrary, this enterprise also made decisions to dismiss Mr. Duong Van Mau from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Member of the Board of Directors and Mr. Nguyen Khac Hai from the position of Member of the Board of Directors from March 18, 2025.
Previously, both leaders had submitted their resignations to perform some tasks assigned by Vinaconex.
It is known that Mr. Duong Van Mau is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Permanent Deputy General Director of Vinaconex, and Mr. Nguyen Khac Hai is also holding the role of Deputy General Director of Vinaconex.
