There is still more than a week left until the Lunar New Year, but at this time people's business and shopping needs have increased.

Hang Luoc flower market (Hoan Kiem district) is bustling, with a variety of products such as peach and kumquat trees for sale, attracting many people to visit and shop.

Nhat Tan peach branches sold at Hang Luoc market on December 18th cost from 200 - 300 thousand VND/branch.

Mr. Hung and his wife (Long Bien district) were excited to buy a beautiful peach blossom branch. Mr. Hung said: "Today, taking advantage of the weekend, my wife and I have a day off from work, so we went out to buy some Tet items for the house. The New Year atmosphere is very bustling in the markets."

Hang Ma Street (Hanoi) is brilliant with the yellow and red colors of Tet decorations, signaling the coming of spring.

Tet decorations change every year, with diverse designs and eye-catching colors.

People come to the market not only to buy decorations, but also to experience the traditional Tet atmosphere.

Thuy Chi said: "Today my mother asked me to go buy some Tet decorations for the house. I bought some decorative flowers at a very cheap price. I want to buy some more lucky money envelopes."

Not only on Hang Luoc street, the traditional Tet flower market also spreads to Hang Khoai, Hang Ruoi and Hang Ma streets, creating a large space with a variety of goods to serve people's shopping needs.

At 9am, Hang Giay Street - a famous candy and confectionery trading place in the capital - was crowded with people and vehicles.

The neighborhood is filled with all kinds of candies and jams for Tet, from domestic to imported goods.

"This is the time when wholesalers come to buy things to sell for Tet and people flock to shop for Tet, so it's very crowded," said Ms. Thu, a vendor on Hang Giay Street.

Normally, the Tet market atmosphere in the streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter starts to get busy from now until the 30th of Tet.
