(NADS) - The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival will take place from March 9 to 13, 2025, with the theme “Buon Ma Thuot – Destination of World Coffee”. Not only is it a festival honoring the quintessence of Vietnamese coffee, this year’s event also marks the 50th anniversary of Buon Ma Thuot Victory Day (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025), opening up opportunities to promote tourism, local culture and affirm the position of Buon Ma Thuot coffee on the world map.
Festival with strong identity and international scale
Taking place in Buon Ma Thuot city and some neighboring localities, this year's festival brings a vibrant cultural space, combining traditional values and the breath of the times.
Speaking at the press conference, a representative of the Organizing Committee shared: "Organizing the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival is not only an important trade promotion activity, but also an opportunity for domestic and foreign enterprises to promote their products, expand markets and improve the effectiveness of international cooperation. We believe and hope that this event will contribute to affirming Buon Ma Thuot's position on the world coffee map, while promoting tourism, investment and promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly and unique Dak Lak."
Compared to the previous festival, this year's event will have many outstanding activities to expand the coffee culture space, combining traditional quintessence with modern technological advances:
- Specialized exhibition fair for coffee and OCOP products : A place where prestigious coffee businesses, cooperatives and producers gather, introducing unique products, from original coffee to creative applications in the industry.
- Specialty Coffee Roasting Competition : A playground for roasters, honoring the sophistication in processing and creating coffee flavors.
- International Trade Conference – Connecting and Elevating Vietnamese Coffee : Opportunity for domestic enterprises to access international markets, expand cooperation and increase export value.
- Groundbreaking ceremony of Trung Nguyen Legend Energy Coffee Factory : An important step forward in the Vietnamese coffee industry, demonstrating strong potential and sustainable development thinking.
- Coffee Camp “Accompanying and Sharing” at CADA Plantation (Krong Pac District) : A cultural space recreating the development history of Central Highlands coffee, where visitors can learn about the process of growing, processing and enjoying coffee in a space of exchange imbued with the nature of the great forest.
- High-tech coffee experience programs : Visitors will witness breakthrough applications in coffee processing and enjoyment, from modern roasting technology to organic coffee tourism models and specialty coffee.
