Approving the task of establishing a plan for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the special national relic Tay Phuong Pagoda
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 190/QD-TTg approving the Task of establishing a Plan to preserve, restore and renovate the special national relic Tay Phuong Pagoda, Thach That District, Hanoi City.

The subjects of planning research include: Cultural heritage values, assets, artifacts associated with relics and the work of conservation management, promotion of relic values associated with tourism development; mountain landscapes, vegetation, animals, landscape, biological, hydrological values... in the relic area; socio-economic factors, population, regional environment, related policies and institutions; current status of technical infrastructure, current status of construction investment, land use situation in the planning area; overall relic system and surrounding areas of the relic...
The planning objective is to specify the contents of the Vietnam Cultural Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period and related sectoral and field development strategies and plans to ensure consistency with the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of relics.
Preserve and maintain the existing values of Tay Phuong Pagoda and related cultural heritages in the long term; contribute to the restoration of cultural heritages that have been lost or destroyed; ensure the integrity of the relics; honor the values of the relics; raise awareness and responsibility of the community in protecting and promoting the values of cultural heritage.
At the same time, promote the value and role of related cultural heritage in attracting tourists, organizing and contributing to creating a favorable environment for organizing religious activities and traditional festivals safely and effectively; develop sustainable tourism, create more income, create business opportunities and jobs for local communities, contributing to improving people's lives.
Redefine boundaries, delineate protection zones for relics; functions and land use indicators for relic areas, residential areas and environmental protection areas; plan spatial organization, arrange technical infrastructure systems suitable for stages of conservation and promotion of relic values...
According to the plan, the relic site is a special national historical, architectural and artistic relic, where national treasures are preserved; located in an area with many historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, traditional craft villages, relics, antiquities, national treasures... reflecting the continuity of traditional culture and national history.
It is a center of cultural and religious activities; a place to hold traditional festivals of the majority of people in Thach That district and neighboring areas; an attractive tourist destination of Hanoi City, the Red River Delta and the whole country.
