DTO - In recent times, the capital for job creation loans from the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of Thanh Binh district has helped many families invest in starting businesses, expanding production scale, developing the economy, gradually improving and enhancing their lives in a sustainable way.

Mr. Tran Van De - owner of the Binh Dinh Hamlet Carpentry Workshop, Binh Thanh Commune, previously had no capital to do business and had to work as a hired carpenter in Binh Duong Province. With a meager salary, he saved money every month to send home to support his wife and two children. Determined to improve the economy and increase income, in February 2020, Mr. De borrowed 46 million VND from the Social Policy Bank's GQVL loan program and opened a carpentry workshop. Currently, his carpentry workshop has more and more orders, and his family's economy is more stable than before. Not only that, Mr. De also created jobs for 3 local workers.

Mr. Tran Van De shared: "Thanks to the GQVL loan program, I have capital to invest in buying machinery, opening a carpentry facility, hiring more workers, so I am where I am today, with many customers placing orders."

Similarly, Mr. Le Van Cung, residing in Trung Hamlet, Tan Thanh Commune, borrowed 50 million VND to invest in pig farming. To date, he has a farm with 500 pigs. Mr. Le Van Cung shared: “Initially, my family only started with 2 or 3 pigs, but thanks to the loan from the VBSP, I expanded the barn, developed more pigs, and now have the farm as it is today.”

Identifying the GQVL loan as one of the important programs, helping people have conditions for economic development and sustainable poverty reduction, Thanh Binh District Social Policy Bank has fully, promptly and publicly implemented policies related to the loan program to 13/13 Commune Transaction Points in the district. At the same time, coordinating with departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels to promote propaganda, guidance, and create the most favorable conditions for people to access capital sources.

Mr. Le Huu Dinh - Director of Thanh Binh District Social Policy Bank, said: “The GQVL loan source has been effective, creating an important "push", creating jobs for workers in the district. Up to now, the GQVL loan program has supported loans for over 1,600 workers, with a total amount of over 60 billion VND. In the first 8 months of 2023 alone, Thanh Binh District Social Policy Bank has disbursed over 12 billion VND to over 300 workers to invest in production and livestock models... Thanks to the effective use of preferential capital, many families have become well-off and rich".

“In the coming time, the Thanh Binh District Social Policy Bank will continue to promote the dissemination of the policy on loans for the purpose of providing public services, helping families, production and business establishments maximize the effectiveness of capital sources in maintaining and expanding production, business and consumption of agricultural products. In particular, to further promote the provision of public services in the locality and increase income for workers, we hope that the Party Committee and the local government will continue to pay attention and balance the local budget to entrust the district Social Policy Bank with loans for public services, creating better conditions for many people to develop production,” Mr. Dinh shared.

It can be said that the GQVL policy credit capital of the Thanh Binh District Social Policy Bank has effectively supported borrowers to develop their professions, create more jobs for many workers, increase people's income and ensure social security in the locality.
