Accordingly, the Inspection Team checked the records and current status of many projects according to the report of Thao Dien Ward People's Committee and randomly conducted the inspection. As a result, the Inspection Team discovered 12 illegal construction projects (mainly villas and houses). Of which, 8 illegal construction projects were forced to implement remedial measures by Thao Dien Ward People's Committee but have not been implemented. 4 illegal construction projects have been completed and put into use but have not yet been processed.
Illegal construction in Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City
In addition, the Inspection Team discovered 16 constructions in Thao Dien Ward that were built illegally compared to the construction permit. Of these, 5 constructions have been completed and put into use, 4 constructions have not completed procedures to adjust the construction permit, have not yet fixed the violating area, 1 construction has fixed the violating area...
The inspection conclusion pointed out that the People's Committee of Thao Dien Ward was slow to detect, handle or coordinate handling according to regulations, leading to a number of illegal construction works, with large areas of violations, being completed and put into use. Some illegal construction works have increased area and structure but have not yet established records to handle violations. Most of the violating construction works have not yet organized the implementation of decisions to enforce the implementation of remedial measures issued by competent state agencies.
According to the inspection conclusion, the reason why the violating constructions have not been implemented according to the decision of the competent authority is because the People's Committee of Thao Dien Ward has not regularly inspected and monitored the construction order situation in the area, and has been slow to detect violating constructions. The People's Committee of Thao Dien Ward has not resolutely organized measures to prevent and handle illegal constructions from the beginning, leading to the completion and use of violating constructions. The Inspectorate of Thu Duc City requested the Department of Internal Affairs of Thu Duc City to advise the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Duc City to transfer the cadastral - construction - urban and environmental officials in charge of Thao Dien Ward, who have committed many violations in construction order management, to other units, and limit the assignment of tasks related to the fields of surveying, mapping, and construction.
