Ho Chi Minh City police are investigating a case in which a woman drove a car and hit a series of motorbikes, injuring many people at the Thu Duc intersection in Hiep Phu ward, Thu Duc city.

According to initial information, at around 5:00 p.m. on March 16, a female driver was driving a Mercedes on Song Hanh Street, heading from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai Bridge.

When arriving at Thu Duc intersection, the Mercedes suddenly crashed into a series of motorbikes waiting at the red light ahead. The car continued to rush through the intersection, hitting a motorbike that was passing through the intersection. The car rolled the motorbike under the car, dragging it on the sidewalk for several dozen meters.

At the scene, motorbikes were scattered. Many people were injured, including a woman who was seriously injured.

According to witnesses, when the Mercedes stopped, the female driver got out and cried. After the accident, the Rach Chiec Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police Department coordinated with the Thu Duc City area team and Hiep Phu Ward Police to block off, investigate the scene and direct traffic.
