Fine for drunk train passenger, threaten 'do you know who I am?'

At noon on March 6, Tan Chinh Ward Police (Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City) issued a decision to fine a drunk passenger who caused trouble and broke the glass door on train SE2.

Specifically, Mr. TVS (55 years old, residing in Giap Bat, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi) was fined for administrative violations of causing disorder.

According to passenger VTH (40 years old, residing in Binh Hung Hoa A Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City), at noon on March 5, he was in bed 13, car 6 of train SE2 (departing from Ho Chi Minh City) when passenger S. in bed 16 in the same room got drunk and caused trouble, affecting him and the surrounding passengers.

Passenger S. pointed, cursed, and insulted the task force.

Mr. S. also smashed and broke the train car windows.

Receiving the news from the passenger, the train captain, flight attendant, and security guard of the Flight Attendant Group Branch of Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company reminded Mr. S. to maintain order, but the passenger did not comply.

Mr. S. threatened, "Do you know who I am?", then cursed and insulted the team on duty on the train, pointed at their faces and threatened to fire them, "from tomorrow they will have to stay home and raise pigs." Even when his family members who were with him tried to stop him, he still did not cooperate.

The force on duty on the train called the Tan Chinh Ward Police and Da Nang Station. When the train stopped at Da Nang Station, the joint force assisted in escorting Mr. S. off the train and taking him to the nearby Tan Chinh Ward Police headquarters.

At Tan Chinh Ward Police Station, Mr. S. continued to speak loudly, pointing at the faces of police officers and soldiers, claiming to be someone working in the field of culture and arts in Hanoi.

By the evening of the same day, Mr. S. regained consciousness and worked with the police, through which he admitted that he had lost control of his behavior due to being drunk.

Mr. S. was administratively fined 500,000 VND, according to Decree 144/2020 on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of security and order.
