Launching Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024

On the afternoon of June 24, at 15 Le Loi (Hue City), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province held the launching ceremony of Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024, and opened the Ao Dai Sewing Experimental Space and the Fine Arts Exhibition "The Beauty of Hue Ao Dai".

The Hue Community Ao Dai Festival was initiated by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province in 2020 and has been maintained over the years; especially since the "Hue - Capital of Ao Dai" Project was officially approved by the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province in Decision No. 678/QD-UBND dated March 29, 2023, affirming the correctness in the revival of traditional Ao Dai - "National Costume" of Vietnam.

This year, the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024 continues to take place with many continuous activities, lasting from June 24-30. Specifically, the launching ceremony of the Community Ao Dai Week, as well as the opening of the Ao Dai Sewing Experimental Space and the "Beauty of Hue Ao Dai" Fine Arts Exhibition were held at the Hue Traditional Craft Exhibition, Product Introduction and Performance Space (15 Le Loi, Hue City) on June 24.

Event "Cycling for the environment"; Program "Hue craft heritage ties together Ao Dai" at Kim Long communal house on June 29.

Program "Ao Dai - Levels of Love"; Activity "Ao Dai Carnival on the Street - Brilliant Summer" at Quoc Hoc Beer Square. Along with that, activities, events, programs "Ao Dai of Ancient Village" were held at Phuoc Tich Ancient Village (Phong Dien District) on June 30.

On this occasion, in Thua Thien Hue province, competitions, festivals, research and launching of Ao Dai wearing were also held at many agencies, units, schools, Dong Ba market, etc.

Launching the event, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, hoped that the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024 would not only help people and tourists access and better understand Ao Dai, thereby cherishing and appreciating the traditional Ao Dai - "National Costume" in particular, but also contribute to educating love for the traditional cultural values ​​of the nation; at the same time, contributing to promoting culture, attracting tourism, and developing the socio-economy of the locality and the country.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee also called on officials, civil servants, employees, workers, and all tourists and people from all walks of life to join and respond to the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024.
