On the afternoon of April 17, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City officially informed about a series of activities in response to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a 3D Mapping art program from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the evenings of April 19, 26, 29 and 30, 2025 at the front of the People's Council (HDND) and People's Committee (UBND) headquarters of the city.
The performance format is a 3D Mapping art projection combining music, light and performance art with participating countries including France, Singapore, Belgium and Vietnam. The event is expected to attract about 10,000 live audiences at the venues, along with millions of viewers via TV channels, livestreams and online platforms.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City will organize a demonstration of 10,500 unmanned aerial vehicles (Drones) on the Saigon River, on both banks of the river in Thu Duc City and District 1. The program will have a rehearsal at 10:00 p.m. on April 29 and officially take place at 8:30-8:45 p.m. on April 30. The organizing committee will prepare a proposal to set a Vietnamese record for the largest number of drones flying at one time.
Displaying 3 models of flower floats in the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, including the 50th anniversary symbol; the flower float of the Front bloc, the flower float of the Intellectual bloc. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City will organize an artistic fireworks display at 9-9:15 pm on April 19, 26 and 30.
The program "National Reunification Day" within the framework of the series of activities "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" takes place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 30 at Nguyen Hue walking street and performance spaces along Nguyen Hue walking street, Saigon River area.
The program also has cultural activities along Nguyen Hue walking street. The area in front of the City People's Committee organizes a symphony performance with world classical music works and typical works praising Ho Chi Minh City.
In front of the SunWah building, there are circus, magic and opera performances. At the intersection with Ngo Duc Ke street, there is a music and dance program.
In addition, the program "Khan Ran Dance" takes place in the space in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and along Nguyen Hue Street.
Activities on the Saigon River include amateur music performances, flower lantern boat parades, cruise ship parades, water sports performances such as sailing, jet skiing, Flyboard surfing, paddle boarding and paragliding, art shows at the Bach Dang wharf barge stage on the Saigon River...

In particular, the parade and march taking place at 6:30 am on April 30 will involve 36 groups of armed forces chaired by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security. The parade with 11 civilian groups will be undertaken by Ho Chi Minh City. The total number of participants in the parade and march is expected to be more than 13,000 people. In particular, within the framework of the Celebration, Ho Chi Minh City will fire 21 cannon shots to the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
