The history of revolutionary struggle and the glorious tradition of the Army over the past 80 years are associated with years of fighting and sacrifice, imbued with brilliant and heroic pages of history. The Vietnam People's Army "Born from the people, fighting for the people", the small army of the past has now grown steadily, gradually moving towards formalization and modernization.
During 80 years of fighting, building and growing, facing countless challenges and hardships, especially the turning points of the revolution, the Army has always shown the mettle of a revolutionary army; a special political force, a fighting force absolutely loyal and trustworthy to the Party, State and people.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc shared that the heroic history has left behind many profound memories and realistic images of the "Barefoot - Steel-willed" soldiers, which are a strong source of inspiration for artists to depict works of art praising them.
Through two wars of national liberation, independence and freedom for the country, propaganda paintings about the image of revolutionary soldiers with noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" have affirmed their important position with historical and contemporary stature in Vietnamese literary and artistic life.

The Organizing Committee awarded certificates and cash prizes to the authors and winning units, including 11 prizes (1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, 5 Encouragement prizes), of which the A prize is worth 30 million VND. In addition, 2 movement prizes were also awarded to units that mobilized many authors and many works of good quality.
