BTO-The Organizing Committee of the Songwriting Contest about Binh Thuan is launching a Songwriting Contest about Binh Thuan on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Thuan (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2025).
The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens, living, studying and working in Vietnam or abroad. Each author or group of authors can submit up to 3 works.
The song praises the homeland, historical and cultural traditions of the land, people, potentials and advantages of Binh Thuan; the outstanding achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Thuan province have achieved in all fields of economics - politics, culture - society, national defense - security since liberation; new potentials, advantages, expectations and orientations for comprehensive and sustainable development in the period of integration, innovation and digital transformation. At the same time, it reflects the cultural identity, people and ethnic groups living in Binh Thuan homeland. The Organizing Committee encourages authors to explore and create new ideas in musical structure, lyrics, forms, methods of expression and exploitation of new materials.
The conditions for participating works are that the lyrics are clear, educational, highly communal, and have beautiful melodies; the content of the works does not violate Vietnamese customs and traditions, adheres closely to the theme of the composition, and is within the framework of legal regulations. The language is Vietnamese; if the work is in an ethnic minority language, it must have 2 lyrics. In addition, the works must be completely new, unpublished in any form; and there must be no copyright disputes.
Deadline for receiving works is March 15, 2025, send to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan, No. 86 Tran Hung Dao, Phu Trinh Ward, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province or via email: [email protected].
Based on the results of the Judging Council, the Organizing Committee will award 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, 10 consolation prizes and a number of secondary prizes. The award ceremony and performance of outstanding works are expected to take place on April 18, 2025.
