Witnessing the Oscar moments this year, the saying "Behind every successful man, there is always a woman" may need to be updated with reality. Women, especially wives, today will stand by their husbands.
Whether it is contributing to their husband's career or taking care of the family so that their husband can pursue his career, they still deserve that equal position.
Nolan and the most important partner in life
"Thank you to the wonderful Emma Thomas - who produced all our films - and to our kids. I love you," Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan paid tribute to his wife after winning Best Director.
And at the end of the ceremony, it was producer Emma Thomas who walked up with her husband to receive the honor when Oppenheimer won Best Picture. Nolan stood looking at his wife proudly as she gave her speech.

Thomas thanked her husband, the "brilliant" and "unique" director who made the film, as well as their four children.
As the wife of a famous director and also a successful producer in Hollywood, Emma Thomas has been asked why she can raise four children and still have a brilliant career.
She replied that she and her husband were lucky to be together on all the films and that she could bring the children to the set while working. They met in college when they were 19 years old and have been together ever since.
Director Nolan once shared a funny experience that you should really pay attention to the people you meet at the entrance ceremony, because who knows, they might play a very important role in your life later on.

With this big Oscar win, Nolan is in history as one of the greatest directors of all time. And his wife is his partner in both life and art.
Emma Thomas has produced 12 films directed by Christopher Nolan, including his early short films and later feature-length masterpieces such as The Dark Knight trilogy, The Prestige, Interstellar, Inception, Oppenheimer...
Most of the films they made together were artistically significant and many were box office successes.
Thomas' influence on her talented husband is not only in his achievements, but also in his suggestions and guidance, his companionship and sharing of artistic inspiration that outsiders find difficult to fully understand.
When Nolan was wondering what to do next after his sci-fi classic Interstellar (2014), it was Thomas who gave him Joshua Levine's book Forgotten Voices of the Dunkirk Evacuation as a no-nonsense suggestion.
Robert Downey Jr. calls his wife "veterinarian"
Best Supporting Actor Robert Downey Jr. credits his wife, producer Susan Downey, as a "veterinarian" for saving him like a growling animal, bringing him back to life with love.
Because without his wife's love and help, he probably wouldn't have overcome the rock bottom of his life: addiction, partying, jail time and being considered unemployed in Hollywood, for 5 years from 1996 to 2001.

When Susan appeared, she loved, accepted and accompanied her husband through difficult times.
Since July 2003, Robert proudly announced that he has been drug-free, has healthier habits such as meditation, yoga, 12-step recovery programs, kung fu... and above all, the love of his family.
Susan Downey also admitted that they have a good influence on each other, not one-sided.
She once shared with Harper's Bazaar: "There's something magical about him always saying that we become a third entity when we're together - something that neither of us could be without each other."
Over 22 years together, they have experienced success and failure. Robert is a talented actor but not all opportunities have smiled on him.
Shortly after reaching the pinnacle of superhero movies as Iron Man, Robert left the Marvel universe and struggled to reinvent his career and shape a new acting style. He failed with Doctor Dolittle , then found great success with Oppenheimer .
And his wife was always there through all those ups and downs.
Oppenheimer won big at the 2024 Oscars with 7 golden statues for: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Score, Film Editing, Best Cinematography.
This victory is considered reasonable and predictable because this is a nearly perfect film, marking the intersection between cinematic art and a work that is full of entertainment elements and satisfies the audience's taste.
Poor Things won 4 Oscars and The Zone of Interest won 2.
Other films with one Oscar each include: American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Boy and the Heron, Godzilla Minus One, The Holdovers, The Last Repair Shop, 20 Days in Mariupol, War Is Over! Inspired by the Music of John and Yoko, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar.
