Tung Duong choked up talking about father-son love in new song

Singer Tung Duong has just released the song "Father's Lie" - a deep, emotional song about father-son love, composed by musician Dong Thien Duc, arranged by musician Nguyen Huu Vuong, featuring a sad cello part and a climax of strings, strongly depicting a father's love for his child.

Tung Duong said he was moved the first time he heard the demo, because he had experienced a childhood full of memories when his parents went to work far away.

“Only after becoming a father did I understand the mission of the man who is the pillar of the family, understand how much my father sacrificed and saved for his children, to the point that he forgot his youth. Before my father left for Russia for more than ten years, he told me something that I will always remember: 'Your parents have traveled far and wide just to take care of your future.' At that time, there was no email or phone, so my father often wrote letters home by hand. Every time I read the letters, I cried. When I was young, I did not understand why my parents had to go so far away from me, but later I realized and loved them more,” Tung Duong confided.

The song was written by musician Dong Thien Duc after a conversation with Tung Duong and handwritten letters from his father sent from Russia.

Currently, Tung Duong is a man who is fulfilled in both his career and family. He and his wife - Giang Pham have a 9-year-old baby named Voi, and have recently adopted a baby boy named Soc. Tung Duong considers this a fate that God has bestowed upon the couple.

“Last year, through a friend in a volunteer group, we learned about Soc’s special circumstances and adopted him. Baby Voi, with the addition of Soc, looks more like a big brother. I think that treating my children (my wife’s children or adopted children) as my own is the most wonderful, meaningful and sacred thing,” Tung Duong confided.

“Father's Lie” is the second song Dong Thien Duc wrote specifically for Tung Duong, after “A Round of Vietnam.”

“Moved by the story, I composed the song as a spiritual gift for my senior. I believe he can tear apart the emotions hidden in the melody,” the musician expressed./.
