On the morning of December 9, Coach Park Hang Seo and his wife took a flight from Vietnam to Laos to watch the match between Laos and Vietnam in the group stage of the 2024 AFF Cup. Many Vietnamese fans on the same flight recognized the coach and asked to take photos with him.
In addition to cheering for the Vietnamese team, Coach Park Hang Seo also wants to watch the confrontation between the two Korean strategists on the two sides of the front line. Leading the Vietnamese team is Mr. Kim Sang-sik. The Lao team is led by captain Ha Hyeok Jun. Mr. Ha has just taken the job but left his first impression by holding the Thai team to a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, coach Ha Hyeok Jun is concerned that his players may be overconfident after the draw with Thailand. He asked the Laos team to enter the match with the mindset of "knowing yourself and knowing your opponent". Laos wants to get 1 point against Vietnam.
The Vietnamese team is in Group B with the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and Laos. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team aim to reach the final match of the tournament.
