Onana closes the future

Onana is not leaving MU.

According to the Mirror , Onana's season at Old Trafford has been full of ups and downs and lacked consistency, but the Cameroonian goalkeeper has said he will not leave unless the club asks him to.

After joining Manchester United from Inter Milan for a reported £43.8m in the summer of 2023, Onana has endured a challenging time. Despite inconsistent performances, the former Inter star has maintained his place in goal for the Old Trafford outfit. However, a string of errors has left Onana's future uncertain.

However, according to club sources, Onana still wants to stay and continue to contribute to Manchester United. The goalkeeper born in 1996 is said to have rejected an attractive offer from the Saudi Pro League.

Onana currently has three years left on his contract with Manchester United and has no plans to find a new destination. Meanwhile, MU is in a transition period under coach Ruben Amorim, who plans to reform the squad to bring the "Red Devils" back to their peak form.

"Onana is still guaranteed to be the number one goalkeeper in Amorim's plans, at least in the short term," Mirror revealed.

Manchester United are also considering signing a new goalkeeper in the summer, which makes the future of back-up goalkeeper Altay Bayindir and third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton, who will leave at the end of the season, even more uncertain.
