TPO - On weekends, groups of cars go up Hai Van Pass (connecting Da Nang city and Thua Thien Hue province) to visit. At the top of the pass, cars have to move little by little, continuously dropping off passengers at Hai Van Quan relic.
From early morning, the road to Hai Van Pass was crowded with vehicles. Not only backpackers but also many groups of tourists chose to go to the pass to try a bit of adventure and enjoy the cool air on the mountain. Clip: Thanh Tran. |

Dozens of passenger buses lined up one after another, making the road at the top of the pass crowded and congested. |
Cars go up and down continuously, and roadside cafes are packed with customers. The cafe owners said that from 4 or 5 am, there are customers going to the top of the pass because the earlier you get there, the more beautiful the view of Hai Van Pass in the mist becomes. Every day, the cafes welcome customers until evening. |
The top of Hai Van Pass, where the national monument Hai Van Quan is located, is a destination that attracts many tourists, especially foreign tourists. |
Motorbikes, private cars, tourist buses and groups of people come to Hai Van Pass continuously on weekends. |
However, Hai Van Quan relic is still under restoration so visitors can only see it from the outside. The entrances are locked and guarded strictly. |
Hai Van Quan relic was built at an altitude of 490m above sea level, located in Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province and Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city. In 2017, the relic was ranked as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In 2021, the two localities jointly restored and restored Hai Van Quan relic, but it has not been completed yet. |
Many tourists regret that when they come here they can only see Hai Van Quan through the steel fence. |
“We came to Da Nang from Nam Dinh, wanting to climb Hai Van Quan once, but when we got there, the security guard stopped us from entering because the inside was under construction and renovation. We could only stand and watch from afar and then go home,” said Nguyen Huu Binh, a tourist from Nam Dinh, regretfully. |

Looking down from Hai Van Quan is a green, overlapping landscape of mountains. Before being renovated, this was a "check-in" destination for many young people. |
