'All-rounder' female student of Kim Lien school admitted to the Party

Hanoi Once Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union, always with a GPA above 9.4 and good at foreign languages, Bao Nhi was admitted to the Kim Lien High School Party Committee.

Phung Bao Nhi, class 12A11, is one of seven students from Kim Lien High School, Dong Da District, admitted to the Party on March 25. In the past 20 years, this is the first batch of students admitted by the school's Party Committee.

Bao Nhi studies well in all subjects, her GPA for the past three years has always been above 9.4, one year even reaching 9.7. The female student said she always tries her best in many subjects and fields to find her strengths.

Since middle school, Nhi has participated in many competitions for excellent students in Math, Chemistry, Biology and Science, winning many awards from school to district level. When entering 10th grade, the female student was more interested in History and Geography, so she spent more time on these two subjects.

Nhi said she often uses a highlighter to mark important events and keywords when studying History or Geography. When it comes time to review, she won’t have to spend much time re-learning, but just needs to string together knowledge based on keywords. With natural sciences, Nhi tries to master the theory and find similar types of exercises to review.

"Studying all subjects equally helps me not feel too pressured in choosing to focus on natural sciences or social sciences," Nhi said.

The female student considers herself good under pressure, always sets clear goals and has the ability to plan to realize those goals.

Nhi said she wanted to become the Deputy Secretary of the Kim Lien High School Youth Union since grade 10. Therefore, she actively participated in most Youth Union activities, taking on many roles, from advisor to leader of event organizing groups.

The female student acknowledged that in addition to her academic achievements, these activities helped increase her recognition in school. Thanks to that, after a year, Nhi was elected as Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union, receiving support from teachers and friends.

Nhi's memorable moment was at the end of 2022, when she started her new assignment. The female student participated in the organization "Sen trong pho" - a series of cultural, artistic and sports activities of Kim Lien High School, which takes place every three years.

"As the youngest member of the organizing committee, and this was my first time working with alumni, I couldn't get into the rhythm at first," Nhi said. At the same time, Nhi had to review for her first semester final exams. The pressure of participating in a big event for the first time, along with maintaining good academic performance, overwhelmed Nhi, often staying up until 2-3am.

To overcome this, Bao Nhi learned how to share and express her opinions with the group members, trying to integrate with everyone's way of working. When events go smoothly, Nhi's mind is at ease, so her studies are more effective.

After her term as Deputy Secretary ended, Nhi continued to be an advisor to the School Youth Union and a member of the School Council.

Ms. Phuong Mai, Bao Nhi's homeroom teacher since grade 10, commented that she is an "all-rounder" student, who strives in both extracurricular activities and studying. Nhi is the class monitor, responsible for many tasks of the school and class Youth Union, but has never neglected her studies. At work, Nhi is serious, responsible, meticulous, and gets along well with her friends.

"No matter what task Nhi is given, teachers trust that she will do it well," said Ms. Mai.

Nhi said that in her free time or when she is too stressed, she will jog or listen to music. The female student also has many talents such as dancing, aerobics, and knowing Korean. Nhi won second prize in the 2022 national Korean speaking contest organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, achieving the title of "3 Good Students" at the city level.

After being admitted to the Party, Nhi is determined to pursue Law at university level. In the immediate future, the female student hopes to complete her final semester and high school graduation exam to complete 12 years of high school.
