(Dan Tri) - By faking a transfer slip when buying milk tea, the 19-year-old female employee was in tears when she realized she had been scammed. Although the amount of money was not large, it was still equivalent to several days of her work.
Having just opened a milk tea shop in front of the school gate for a few months, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Vinh (Hai Phong) encountered a scam situation, having his online money transfer receipt forged.
He and his wife work in an office and have recently invested in a milk tea and yogurt shop. He operates and manages remotely and hires direct sales staff.
The owner of the milk tea shop said that at around 4:00 p.m. on February 21, a tall young man wearing a black life jacket and a mask entered the shop to buy a cup of milk tea.

"A cup of milk tea is only 15,000 VND. However, this person said he would transfer 515,000 VND to the shop and receive 500,000 VND in cash," Mr. Vinh informed.
Because the shop had just opened, the 19-year-old employee did not have much practical experience, so he naively listened to the customer's words. After showing the scan code, this person also performed the operations as a normal transaction transfer.
Then they also showed the phone screen showing the successful transfer receipt to the staff for observation.
"At that time, my employee probably thought that there was a problem with the network so he had not received the notification that the money had been transferred. He also took a screenshot of the transfer from this man. However, after a while, he still had not received the money, so the employee called me in panic," the shop owner shared.
Because she had just started working and encountered an unexpected situation, the female employee was in tears. Because the amount of 500,000 VND was not too large, but it was equal to several days of her work.
However, Mr. Vinh did not blame the employee. However, he said that the employee felt shocked and sad when encountering such a situation for the first time.
They used an application to fake money transfer slips (Photo: NVCC).
This is also a lesson for him to instruct his staff more carefully. Because the shop has just opened, he has not had the conditions to equip additional devices to notify the amount of money received at the store.
"After investigating the transfer screen captured by the staff, I discovered that they used a professional application to fake online transfer slips.
Therefore, I think it is necessary to speak up and warn everyone about this trick. Because the most feared thing is that they will scam women and mothers selling goods at the market when they have not registered for notification from the bank," Mr. Vinh emphasized.
After sharing the post on social media, he himself received many responses from the community when he was in a similar situation. Thus, with the same trick, many victims have fallen into this "half-crying, half-laughing" situation.
