Enthusiastic and creative female pharmaceutical factory director

In the production workshop of the Western Medicine Factory (Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company), the production line system operates continuously, groups of technicians and workers quickly operate and package products. Ms. Cao Thi Chien (born in 1987) - Factory Director closely monitors each stage, carefully checks each product, and reminds workers to operate according to the correct production process.

Struggling with her work, Ms. Cao Thi Chien (middle) has come up with many useful initiatives in the production process.

It is known that Ms. Chien graduated from Hanoi University of Pharmacy in 2010 with a good degree, then joined Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. With her well-trained knowledge, after only a short time working, she was assigned to be in charge of production at the Pharmaceutical Factory. With her qualifications, capacity and experience in expertise and management, in July 2014, she was elected as Director of the Pharmaceutical Factory, managing 82 officers and employees.

Ms. Chien's initiatives contribute to reducing time, manpower, and increasing labor productivity.

With many years of experience operating machinery, along with the dedication and responsibility of a manager, she always struggles to find solutions to overcome limitations and improve work efficiency.

In 2020, she launched the initiative “Increasing product batch size”. Accordingly, she researched and applied a new process to adjust the preparation of Clopheniramin and Dexamethasone products from 2 million tablets to 3 million tablets/product batch. This initiative helps reduce mixing costs, testing costs and production batch recording time by 2/3 compared to before.

The leaders of Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company are very interested in encouraging scientific research and creative labor movements in the departments.

In 2021, she continued to research the initiative "Improving the pellet granulation process from manual to semi-automatic". This initiative comes from the fact that the process of sieving powder to create pellets (semi-finished products of tablets) must be done manually, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive and low-productivity. She switched to using a high-speed mixer, then used a sieve to vibrate the powder through the appropriate mesh size. This new process reduces half the time and labor while doubling the productivity compared to the old process.

In the same year, Ms. Chien launched the initiative “Making large batch PVP iodin mixing pots” which was applied to production. With this initiative, the 200 liter mixing pot was replaced by a 600 liter pot, helping to increase the PVP iodin product from 10 thousand bottles to 30 thousand bottles/product batch; contributing to reducing the testing, mixing and packaging process, creating a large number of products to serve market demand.

Ms. Chien always plays a good role as a good example of a leader of a party cell and agency.

Ms. Chien's initiatives are highly appreciated by the company's leaders, bringing practical efficiency in the production process with the ability to make billions of VND/year in profit for the enterprise. Not only always striving to explore and innovate, Ms. Chien also regularly proposes to the Company's Board of Directors to implement policies to encourage scientific research activities and technical improvements to encourage staff and workers to actively participate in the emulation movement of good workers - creative workers.

Not only affirming her solid professional capacity, in her role as Secretary of the Party Cell of the Pharmaceutical Factory since 2020, Ms. Chien has always promoted the qualities of a Party member and the exemplary role of a leader. She and her comrades in the Party Cell have monitored and guided many capable and qualified workers in the unit so that they can strive to join the Party. To date, the Party Cell has 25 Party members, most of whom are female.

With her contributions, for many consecutive years, Ms. Chien has achieved the title of "Emulation fighter at the grassroots level", "Party member who has completed her tasks excellently"; in 2020, she was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee; in 2021, she was commended by the Ha Tinh Health Sector Trade Union with the title "Good at public work - Good at housework".

In January 2025, she was one of 95 individuals honored by the Provincial Women's Union as outstanding female party members in the province.

Ha Tinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company has increasingly affirmed its reputation and brand in the national pharmaceutical industry system and in the domestic market as well as neighboring countries. To achieve such success, we must mention the great contribution of many outstanding individuals, including Ms. Cao Thi Chien. As a leader, Ms. Chien has created solidarity and built a strong collective. Her spirit of learning and creative work has contributed significantly to promoting the emulation movement of labor and production of the whole company.
