Being quick and creative, Quang Ninh farmers have recently increased the application of advanced science and technology in production, forming typical high-tech agricultural production models. In these models, with superior production processes and modern production equipment, farmers are confident in mastering production factors, thereby bringing large output, high quality, increasing product value, value on cultivated land area and ensuring sustainable development.

Going into production since February 2024, Cam Pha High-Tech Shrimp Farming Cooperative (Cong Hoa Commune, Cam Pha City) has harvested its 5th shrimp crop with high yield and beautiful appearance. The shrimp farming technology of this cooperative is 3-stage technology in greenhouses.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Manh, Director of the Cooperative, this technology allows shrimp farmers to proactively grasp and adjust the necessary environmental factors for year-round farming. At each stage of shrimp maturity, they are released into separate ponds and specific care methods are applied, suitable for the age, density, health and preferences of the shrimp.

The advantage of Cam Pha high-tech shrimp farming cooperative is that the greenhouse system has been improved in the direction of increasing the height of the greenhouse. This solves a major problem of greenhouses, which is stuffiness and evaporation or fog due to temperature differences, causing shrimp to live in an anaerobic environment. With the improved greenhouse, Cam Pha high-tech shrimp farming cooperative is confident in preparing the conditions to enter the winter shrimp farming season, which is a difficult crop to succeed in because of the harsh cold weather, which is not suitable for shrimp survival.

Dong Trieu, with its relatively complete agricultural production infrastructure, combined with the good farming skills and mindset of farmers, has made this place a key agricultural area in the whole province, a typical area of ​​high-tech agricultural production.

Milk grapes are a cold-resistant variety originating from Korea. Mr. Ngo Duc Tri of An Sinh commune is a bold person who grows this variety. Through the introduction of friends, Mr. Tri imported the variety, improved the soil and applied the greenhouse and mist irrigation process to grow the plants. Thanks to that, Mr. Tri minimized the negative impacts on milk grapes, such as hot weather and high temperatures, instead, the temperature in the greenhouse is low, relatively suitable for this imported variety. Along with temperature adjustments, Mr. Tri maintains an organic vineyard care regime, prioritizing the use of biological fertilizers and pesticides, creating crispness and sweetness for the grapes.

With the above modern farming solution, Mr. Ngo Duc Tri's 3-acre vineyard not only grows and develops well but also bears a lot of fruit, large, crispy, sweet, and delicious, not inferior to imported milk grapes. This season, Mr. Tri harvested about 1 ton of grapes, of which 70% are grade 1 bunches, selling for 300,000-350,000 VND/kg.

It can be seen that agricultural models with high scientific and technological content have contributed to increasing the value of the agricultural economy in the whole province. It is not difficult to see new varieties of fruit and vegetable gardens; agricultural production models where people have used drones to spray pesticides, people have used water-saving irrigation systems for drought-stricken areas, applied light to regulate flower blooming, proactively divided crops, pollinated to reduce the load on crops, etc.

Currently, following the agricultural economic development strategy of Quang Ninh province, the cultivated area will increasingly decrease, giving way to urban projects as well as other economic sectors. The trend of high-tech agriculture in the area will increasingly develop, in order to meet the needs of consumers and the market towards unique, delicious, healthy products. At the same time, high-tech agriculture is also suitable for the urbanization process that is currently developing very strongly in the area. Therefore, increasing the content of science and technology in each production model becomes urgent, needs to be implemented early and widely.

With the attention of the province and the urgent participation of farmers' associations at all levels, high-tech agricultural production models are encouraged to form and develop, receiving specific and appropriate support policies. This is an important driving force for Quang Ninh's agriculture to progress towards modernity, sustainability and high value, with positive and strong movements, resonating with other economic sectors for development.
