According to MacRumors , the popular action-adventure survival game No Man's Sky has now come to Mac via the Steam store, and studio Hello Games also promises to bring players another surprise in the near future.
No Man's Sky is now available on Mac
At WWDC last year, Apple announced that No Man's Sky would be coming to iPad and Mac by the end of 2022. But Hello Games missed that date for some reason, and now the game is finally available for Mac. Hello Games founder Sean Murray teased earlier this week that there would be two big announcements from the studio about Apple. And No Man's Sky coming to Mac seems to be one of the two announcements Hello Games was talking about.
While the second announcement is likely to be the release of the game for iPad, as that version was announced alongside the Mac game at WWDC 2022. But the hint from Sean Murray leans toward speculation that Hello Games may be developing a game for Apple's mixed reality headset, which is expected to be announced at WWDC in less than a week.
No Man's Sky is already available on multiple VR platforms, including PC and PlayStation VR. When it was announced at WWDC last year, the game was played on a Mac with an M1 chip. And since Apple's mixed reality headset is rumored to have at least one M2-based chip in addition to a dedicated image signal processor, it's more than capable of running the game.

Hello Games has also been working with Apple to release games on Apple Arcade. Given Apple's discussions with Hello Games over the past few years, it's not out of the question that No Man's Sky would be among the first wave of games available for Apple's new mixed reality headset.
No Man's Sky is available for Mac on Steam now, with a Mac App Store release also coming soon.
