Efforts to build a model civilized residential area

In recent times, in order to build a civilized and model residential area, Lam Thao town and Hung Son town, Lam Thao district have actively implemented the plan, mobilizing the participation of departments, branches, unions and people. Up to now, the process of building a civilized and model residential area is gradually reaching the finish line, contributing to the early completion of the roadmap for building a civilized urban town in the locality.

Immediately after Hung Son town implemented the plan to build a civilized urban town and a model civilized residential area, residential areas in the area proactively developed plans, strengthened the mobilization committee, mobilized the participation of the Fatherland Front, political organizations and the People, synchronously deployed solutions, built a roadmap to implement the criteria of a model civilized residential area with the motto of doing easy things first, difficult things later. Up to now, the town has had 6 residential areas achieving the title of model civilized area.

Area 13 is one of the four residential areas selected by the town to build a model civilized residential area in 2024. With the support of superiors, the Front Work Committee of the area has actively participated, mobilizing maximum resources from the people and taking advantage of investment resources from outside, support and assistance from philanthropists, successful children of the homeland,... the area has focused on building 14 model civilized criteria to ensure science, synchronization, and on schedule.

From 2023 to present, the area has focused on investing in renovating and upgrading 4 roads with a total length of nearly 2.7km with a total investment value of 22 billion VND under the motto of the State and the People working together. In which, the State invests resources, the People contribute labor, efforts, and land to expand and upgrade the roads.

The cultural house of zone 13 was built spaciously to meet the community living needs of the people in the zone.

Comrade Le Huu Mai - Secretary of the Party Cell said: Although 70% of the people in the area are farmers, with the determination of the Party Cell, Party members and the solidarity and consensus of the people, Area 13 is one of the areas that completed the clearance of the traffic corridor the earliest. People donated nearly 3,000m2 of land, and contributed funds to upgrade and repair the cultural house, invest in a dome house to serve cultural, artistic and sports activities in the residential area.

In addition, the area has mobilized social resources to install 37 light bulbs with a cost of over 32 million VND, contributing to building a bright, green, clean, beautiful and safe urban environment... Up to now, the area has no more poor households, the average income is over 62.1 million VND/person/year; the number of employed workers is 95%.

In Lam Thao town, in 2024, the town has implemented the renovation and upgrading of traffic routes in the areas from the district's cement support source, at the same time mobilizing from socialized sources and contributions from the people with a total amount of over 1 billion VND. The local government has resolutely focused on directing the site clearance work to implement projects synchronously, organizing propaganda to mobilize 72 households to donate land, move fences to expand traffic routes with 1,805m2 of land, worth over 880 million VND. Up to now, the roadmap for building a civilized urban area, the town has achieved 7/9 criteria, with 5/9 residential areas recognized by the District People's Committee as model civilized urban residential areas...

Typically, Lam Thao area has 345 households with over 1,000 people. In recent years, cadres and people in the area have always been united, implementing well the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" and patriotic emulation movements launched by all levels. People's lives are increasingly improved, 90% of households in the area are well-off and rich. In 2024, the average income per capita will reach 72.6 million VND/year; the number of households achieving the title of cultural family will reach 98.6%; the rate of people participating in health insurance will reach 99%; the rate of population with electronic medical records will reach 74%.

Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Thao town worked with localities on the process of mobilizing people to join hands to build civilized residential areas.

In building a civilized and model residential area, promoting the role of the people as the main subject, taking advantage of the support of superiors and socialized resources, the area has focused on building and completing the criteria of a civilized and model residential area. 100% of the main and inter-area roads have been renovated, upgraded with asphalt and concrete, ensuring convenient and safe travel for cars and other means of transport with a total implementation cost of over 1.5 billion VND.

The newly built cultural house has a total area of ​​244m2, with a sports field, facilities, and fully equipped support equipment worth over 1.3 billion VND. At the same time, the area has also deployed the construction of three civilized streets including: Nguyen Chinh Tuan Street, Hung Vuong Street, and Cao Mai Street.

According to comrade Trieu Duc Dung - Vice Chairman of the Town People's Committee: In the coming time, we will continue to urge and mobilize the remaining residential areas to make efforts to implement and complete the criteria of a model civilized residential area, and at the same time direct the areas that have achieved it to continue to maintain and improve the criteria, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people, bringing the town to soon achieve the status of a civilized urban area.

The process of building a model civilized residential area not only contributes to the locality's successful implementation of the set goals, but more importantly, it is to arouse the spirit of solidarity, improve the cultural and material life of the people in the spirit of the people joining hands and the people enjoying the results.
