He believes that renewing an old topic, convincing listeners and judges through new knowledge and methods of transmission meets the criteria of a political officer. For him, once he thinks, he must do it, and once he does it, he must be serious and devoted. This is demonstrated by both his own efforts and the results of the competitions.

Ha Van Luyen's family situation is very special. He is a Thai ethnic, born and raised in Luong Dong village, Hoa Quy commune, Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province. 17 years ago, Luyen's father died in an accident. The pain did not stop, a year after his father passed away, Luyen's mother contracted a strange disease. For nearly a year, his mother was treated at Thanh Hoa General Hospital, so the three Luyen sisters had to take care of and advise each other.

After finishing 5th grade, Luyen transferred to Nhu Xuan District Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, 6km from home. Her mother was both happy and worried, hugging Luyen and telling her all sorts of things. There was one thing her mother said that he still remembers: "You must try to study well to have a future." So at the age of 11, Luyen started living away from her family, gradually getting used to making decisions for herself.

Luyen's first decision was the weekend after entering school. At that time, there was no means of transportation, while the school was 6km away from home, friends who studied at school were either picked up by their families or rode their bicycles, Luyen decided to find an acquaintance to hitchhike with. When she got home at dusk, she was both scared and happy, seeing her mother and two sisters, Luyen could not hide her sadness, burst into tears...

After graduating from high school, Ha Van Luyen passed the entrance exam to the Political Officer School. Living independently since childhood helped him quickly integrate into the new environment. Along with actively studying and training, he enthusiastically participated in all common activities. His efforts were recognized by his superiors. In his third year, Ha Van Luyen was trusted by his superiors to take on the role of platoon leader of the student platoon. He confided: "When I received the assignment, I was both excited and worried.

Excited because the efforts were recognized by the commanders at all levels, but I was also very worried about how to handle it harmoniously and maintain solidarity in the unit". To create fairness and solidarity in the platoon, he was always exemplary and took the lead in all work. When there were problems, he proactively confided in his squad leaders to find timely and thorough solutions. Gradually, Ha Van Luyen received the trust and support of his comrades in the platoon. When there were difficulties and problems, everyone confided in and shared with him.
