Joy in new classrooms

For over a week now, teachers from Kim Dong Primary School in Cu Kbang Commune, Ea Sup Border District, Dak Lak Province have been present at school. Some have towels, buckets, and brooms in their hands to clean the classrooms. Everyone is excited because the school has been invested in and built to be more spacious, no longer worrying about broken walls and muddy yard every rainy season.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quyet, the school principal, said that Cu Kbang is a particularly difficult commune, 95% of the students are ethnic minorities. In previous years, the number of students increased rapidly, while the school was increasingly degraded. Recently, the school was invested by Ea Sup district with a 2-storey building with 10 classrooms, a fence system, and a concrete yard.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quyet was excited, this is the motivation for the school in the border area to strive to meet national standards: "The school is very happy that the classrooms ensure 2 sessions/day. The school strives to reach national standard school level 1 by the end of 2024."

Also in the joy of having more classrooms and new equipment, Mr. Tran Quang Anh, Principal of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, Ea Sup town, Ea Sup district said that the facilities ensure teaching and learning according to the 2018 General Education Program.

“I am very pleased that all levels are interested in building 6 new, spacious classrooms. Up to this point, all rooms have been fully invested. Each room has a TV connected to a computer to serve teaching. The equipment in the classrooms is relatively adequate to serve the new school year,” said Mr. Tran Quang Anh.

In the remote district of Krong Bong, Dak Lak province, despite many difficulties, the district has tried to mobilize all resources to repair schools and purchase equipment for the new school year.

Mr. Y Thuc Eban, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Bong district, informed: "The People's Committee of the district has directed the Department of Education to coordinate with localities and school units to review the facilities and teaching and learning equipment at all schools in the district. Which needs to be done first, which needs to be done later, balancing according to resources. If there is enough, do it all the better, if not enough, we will arrange them in order of priority."

In Cu M'Gar district, Dak Lak province, Mr. Nguyen Tu Do, Head of the Department of Education and Training, said that from many sources of capital, this year the locality has invested more than 42 billion VND to build, repair facilities and supplement teaching equipment.

“We are reviewing the facilities to ensure teaching and learning. In addition, we are preparing activities to build a school that meets national standards, ensuring the progress and targets set by the District Party Committee and District People's Committee.”

In the 2024-2025 school year, with the theme "Discipline, responsibility, continuous innovation, quality improvement", Dak Lak province strives for all villages and hamlets to have kindergartens and schools; the rate of solid classrooms will reach 93%, and the rate of schools meeting national standards will be over 60%.
