According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, after completing the virtual filtering process, before 5:00 p.m. on August 17, schools will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system, review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.
By 5:00 p.m. on August 19 at the latest, universities must complete the announcement of benchmark scores and first round of admission results.
This year, the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training recorded more than 733,000 candidates registering for admission (equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates taking the 2024 high school graduation exam). Of which, the highest percentage of candidates registering for the following majors: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology. Next is the Pedagogy major; then the Humanities and Health majors.
After the first virtual filtering, many universities reported a sharp increase in the number of candidates registering for their first choice, with some schools doubling the number. Along with the increase in high school graduation exam scores, many schools predicted that the admission scores would have many changes compared to last year.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires training institutions to require all candidates to confirm their admission online on the system, before enrolling at the training institution.
Candidates admitted in the first round must complete online admission confirmation no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 27. Each school will set its own time frame for admission procedures, and candidates should follow instructions from the universities.
