The days of finishing on the training ground

New soldiers trained in explosives.

At the infantry combat training ground, in the hot, stuffy summer sun, each drop of sweat from the soldiers poured out, then quickly dried as if wanting to "dye white" their field uniforms. But despite the harsh weather, the new soldiers were still enthusiastically training tirelessly. While performing the shooting content in 3 positions with the AK submachine gun, moving to the position to gain experience, Private Vi Van Dien, Squad 14, Platoon 7, Company 2, confided: "At the beginning of the training, I performed the shooting movements very difficultly, every time I held the gun to aim, I was nervous and tense. After two months of training, with the enthusiastic guidance, instruction and easy-to-remember, easy-to-understand communication methods of officers at all levels, I have now firmly grasped the key points, and my aiming movements are very stable. In the coming time, I will actively practice, striving to achieve the highest results in all test contents".

Observing the AK submachine gun shooting training content, lesson 1, we saw that the new soldiers were really excited, actively practicing, each person was very focused in each time pulling the trigger. In the shooting positions, the new soldiers were proficient in the movements, mentally stable when preparing to come into contact with guns, bullets and explosions. As the person directly training the infantry combat techniques for the new soldiers, Lieutenant Luong Dinh Long, Platoon Leader, Platoon 4, Company 2 said: “After more than two months of training, the new soldiers have made a lot of obvious progress. This is the “sprint” time to prepare to end the training period, we continuously encourage the soldiers to overcome all difficulties, actively practice to achieve the best results. In addition to regular training hours, during the holidays, we assign officers to monitor and tutor the new soldiers who are still weak in movements. As for training officers, we require them to be exemplary in words and actions for soldiers to learn and follow."

Captain Nguyen Van Long, Political Commissar of Company 1, Battalion 40, said: “To achieve good results in this event, in addition to mastering the key movements, each soldier needs to have a strong mentality and spirit in each series of shots. During the training process, some comrades were affected psychologically, leading to unstable aiming or pulling the trigger too quickly when finishing the shot. Understanding these limitations, we regularly check, evaluate, and classify new soldiers into specific groups and subjects to accompany and guide them individually, at the same time imparting experience and encouraging soldiers to stay calm and confident in performing the key movements correctly.”
