Thanh Hoa PC promotes electronic payment, gradually replacing collection points through intermediary partners

At the meeting, Deputy Director of Business Hoang Duc Hau, representative of Thanh Hoa PC, sent his sincere thanks to Thanh Hoa Provincial Post Office for its effective coordination, constant support and being a reliable partner in implementing the electricity bill collection service in the past time. According to the working results on March 13, 2025 and the agreed plan, in April 2025 (corresponding to the March 2025 billing period), Thanh Hoa PC has temporarily suspended the pilot operation of 04 collection desks at the following units: Thanh Hoa City Electricity, Sam Son, Bim Son - Ha Trung area. The total number of invoices from these collection desks is 7,427, of which 78.4% of customers have switched to paying through other channels. As of April 9, 2025, the rate of customers using automatic debit has increased from 8.13% (March 2025) to 9.6%, an increase of 1.47%. This shows that the suspension of the collection desk in April has received positive feedback from customers, brought about clear results and will be replicated in the coming time.

The trend of paying electricity bills without cash, especially through automatic debit, is identified as an inevitable trend in the near future. Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Post Office, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, fully agrees with the plan of Thanh Hoa PC and will support as much as possible. At the same time, the Provincial Post Office has also connected with many banks and is ready to coordinate to spread this convenient form of payment, developing together to bring modern and convenient experiences to customers.

In May 2025 (invoice period April 2025), Thanh Hoa PC will implement parallel collection through Banks and Post Offices to increase the rate of automatic debt collection and in June, temporarily suspend the operation of 49 collection desks in inner-city areas, towns, and townships to switch to collection through Bank accounts, increasing the rate of automatic debt collection. Fully aware of the difficulties and challenges in the conversion process, Thanh Hoa PC hopes to continue to receive support from the Provincial Post Office and related partners to promote the application of modern payment methods, especially to increase the rate of automatic debt collection.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to closely coordinate and adhere to the proposed plan to ensure effective implementation of cooperation contents.

Increasing the rate of non-cash electricity bill payment, especially through automatic debit, is an optimal solution to save time, limit late payments, and contribute to the successful completion of collection targets of Thanh Hoa Electricity Company in particular and the entire electricity industry in general.
