Special activities at the hot air balloon festival in Ninh Binh

On July 4, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Bui Van Manh - Director of the Department of Tourism of Ninh Binh province said that, implementing the annual work program, on July 2, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to organize the Trang An - Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2024.

The festival is expected to take place from September 20-23, 2024, hosted by the Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Hot Air Balloon Association; Provincial Tourism Association; Department of Culture and Sports; and Ballooning Media International Hot Air Balloon Company Limited.

The Trang An – Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024 will be held with a series of activities such as: The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place from 8:00 p.m. on September 20, at the welcome gate area (intersection of Le Thai To Street and Trang An Street, Tan Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City). This is considered a new tourism product to attract visitors to Ninh Binh during the low season.

Hot air balloon flights will be held to serve people and tourists from September 21-23 at Trang An Cultural Park (Tan Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City) and Cuc Phuong Stadium, Nho Quan District.

Hot air balloon light show combined with art performances from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from September 20 to 23, at a location along Trang An Street at the intersection of Le Thai To Street and Trang An Street, Tan Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City.

Displaying local specialties and OCOP products from different regions takes place throughout the Festival at Trang An Cultural Park with about 120 booths.

“This is the first time Ninh Binh province has organized a hot air balloon festival. The Trang An – Cuc Phuong hot air balloon festival in 2024 is considered a new tourism product of Ninh Binh to attract tourists to Ninh Binh. Thereby, contributing to stimulating the tourism industry in Ninh Binh during the low season” – Mr. Manh shared.

Participating in the activities of the Trang An – Cuc Phuong Hot Air Balloon Festival, people and tourists will have extremely impressive experiences and interesting, unforgettable feelings when admiring from above the beautiful, majestic space of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage – Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
