On March 28, the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross to organize the "Voluntary Blood Donation Day" in 2025 at Lang Son Medical College. During this campaign, the Organizing Committee received 438 units of blood to supply to hospitals to serve the medical treatment of the people.

According to Ms. Be Thi Hoa, President of the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation, since 2020, more than 3,500 cadres, union members, and workers have registered to donate blood, collecting more than 2,300 units of blood. Among them, many people have actively participated many times.
To spread the movement as well as effectively carry out extensive propaganda work to all levels of trade unions, labor federations of districts, cities, affiliated trade unions, and grassroots trade unions, the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor has proactively set up union fanpages, Zalo groups, meetings, and conferences with the participation of grassroots trade unions.
The Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial Labor Federation said: If all healthy people are willing to share their blood, there will be no more worries about blood shortage. Voluntary blood donation has a great humanitarian meaning. Labor unions at all levels of Lang Son province will continue to direct grassroots unions to propagate and mobilize cadres, union members, and workers to actively respond and regularly participate so that the movement can develop more and more widely, contributing to maintaining enough blood to serve the treatment and timely emergency care for patients.
In 2024, Lang Son province organized 25 voluntary blood donation campaigns, receiving 10,619 units of blood, equivalent to more than 13,800 converted blood units, contributing to the treatment of thousands of patients in need of blood transfusion, especially at times of scarcity.

Smiling after donating blood at the festival, Mr. Hoang Duc Thanh, a member of the Cao Loc Town Union, Cao Loc District, shared: When giving away drops of blood, even though it is only a small part, it has brought hope to those in urgent need of blood. Mr. Thanh and his family have participated in voluntary blood donation many times. According to him, everyone needs to be aware of the importance and special meaning of blood donation, because "A drop of blood given - A life left behind", from the donated blood units, many lives will be continued.
