This is the motto that Nguyen Binh High School, Dong Trieu city, Quang Ninh province, has implemented to support and help students from difficult family circumstances for many years.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Toan, Principal of Nguyen Binh High School, said: "Over the years, our school has always paid attention to and directed cadres, teachers, and employees to grasp the circumstances of each student, thereby providing timely encouragement, assistance, and support to disadvantaged students. Students are not allowed to drop out of school due to family circumstances. In particular, many students have divorced parents, live with grandparents, or live alone. They really need the care of the school to confidently go to school and integrate with their friends."

For example, the situation of student Đ.TA, whose father has cancer and mother left 6 years ago; or student Đ.T.Đ, whose parents are divorced and whose mother went abroad, Đ. lives with his father but often has conflicts, and both D. and his brother have to rent a house to live outside to take care of each other. Or student NMC, whose parents are divorced and who currently lives with his mother. However, his mother is often sick and ill, and has to undergo long-term treatment at the Central Tuberculosis Hospital... "Most of these cases affect the students' psychology. Some students are sad, have an inferiority complex, are not sociable, and are poor students. Some students are often late for school, do not study and do homework at home due to lack of reminders from their families. Some students react with dissatisfaction, play too much, and skip school...", Ms. Nguyen Thuy Toan shared.

Meaningful Tet gifts were given by Nguyen Binh High School to encourage children from difficult family circumstances.

Help students gradually overcome their inferiority complex about their family circumstances

"Understanding the students' circumstances, the school leaders have implemented synchronous measures such as psychological counseling so that the students can share and encourage them regularly, helping them gradually eliminate their inferiority complex about their family circumstances. We also directed the homeroom teachers to visit and meet grandparents and uncles to create close relationships, have family members to coordinate, manage and educate the students. In addition, the school also directed the school's Youth Union and Youth Union branches to send youth union members to actively make friends and help each other in studying and in life," Ms. Nguyen Thuy Toan added.

In addition, the school also calls on the Parents' Association and benefactors to support financially, materially, and with means so that students have sufficient conditions to study. In particular, depending on the circumstances, the school has a policy of exempting or reducing tuition fees. Absolutely, students must not drop out of school due to difficult family circumstances.

The Principal of Nguyen Binh High School expressed: "I hope that parents will preserve family happiness, protect their children, and not let them suffer mental and physical harm from their parents' broken marriage. I also suggest that organizations such as the Women's Union, the Red Cross, the Youth Union, especially local authorities, regularly disseminate policies and laws to young people, women..., and take measures to care for and protect vulnerable children and children affected by their parents' broken marriage. At the same time, coordinate with schools to promptly grasp information, educate children to progress, and help them avoid negative risks caused by their family's disadvantaged circumstances."
