At about 8:30 a.m., a man drove a 4-seat car with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate on Hoang Van Thu Street, heading from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Phu Nhuan intersection.
When reaching alley 229 Hoang Van Thu street, ward 8, this vehicle suddenly hit many motorbikes and cars going in the same direction.
Next, the 4-seat car crashed into the grounds of an apartment building about 50 meters from the original location, hit several parked cars, and then stopped.
Initial reports show that 8 motorbikes and 5 cars were damaged. Several injured motorcyclists were taken to hospital.
The 4-seater car promptly deployed its airbags so the male driver was not injured.
