On the afternoon of July 1, public schools under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training began updating 10th grade benchmark scores on official information channels.

Earlier, at noon today, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the admission scores for specialized 10th grade classes. The Chinese class of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted had the highest score of 43.3 points, an average of 8.66 points per subject. The class with the lowest score was the Chemistry class of Son Tay High School, with only 23.7 points, an average of 4.74 points per subject to pass.
The entrance exam for grade 10 public schools in Hanoi took place over three days, June 10-12, with more than 104,000 students. Students had to take three exams: Math, Literature, and Foreign Language. To be considered for admission, candidates had to complete all the exams, not violate the regulations, and not receive a score of 0 in any exam. The admission score was the sum of the three subjects, with Math and Literature multiplied by a factor of two.
Students who register for specialized schools will take additional specialized subjects. The admission score for specialized classes is the total score of four subjects, in which the specialized subject is multiplied by a coefficient of two.
Successful candidates will enroll in three days from July 5-7. If the quota is not met, schools will recruit additional students from July 10, accepting students from July 11 to 14.
