Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said it will adjust the departure and arrival times of passenger trains at stations on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route because the railway on the route has not been fully restored after the storm and flood, and train speeds at some points are from 10-15km/h.

According to the announced schedule, every day train SP3 departs from Hanoi station at 22:00 and arrives at Lao Cai station at 5:55; train SP4 departs from Lao Cai station at 21:30 and arrives at Hanoi station at 5:25.
Now adjusted: Train SP3 departs Hanoi at 9:35 p.m., arrives at Lao Cai station at 5:30 a.m.; arrival and departure times at stations along the way are 25 minutes earlier.
Train SP4 departs Lao Cai station at 7:30 p.m. and arrives at Hanoi station at 3:25 a.m.; arrival and departure times at stations along the way are 120 minutes earlier.
The railway applies discount programs to attract passengers on the route. Accordingly, from now until December 29, 2024, ticket prices will be reduced when buying group tickets: Buying tickets for 4 people to travel by train, the total discount is equivalent to the price of one ticket; Similarly, buying tickets for 8 people, the discount is equivalent to the discount of two tickets. This policy applies to seat types and berths in 6-berth cabins.
Passengers who buy round-trip tickets also receive a 15% discount on return tickets; VIP guests receive a 20% discount on tickets.
