National Reporter Conference April 2025

On the morning of April 15, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Central Public Security Party Committee to organize a national reporter conference for April 2025 in person and online to 63 provinces and cities across the country.

At the conference, the leaders of the Central Public Security Party Committee informed about the tradition of the Public Security force towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

The People's Public Security Force was born in the boiling atmosphere of the uprising to seize power in Hanoi on August 19, 1945 during the great August Revolution. Along with the destruction of the enemy's repressive agencies and the establishment of a revolutionary government, the Northern provinces established the Secret Service and the Police Department; the Central region established the Reconnaissance Department; and the Southern region established the National Self-Defense Force.

On February 21, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree 23/SL to merge the Police and Integrity Departments nationwide into the Vietnam Public Security Service. Although the names were different in the three regions, the first organizations of the People's Public Security all had the same mission of suppressing counter-revolutionaries, maintaining security and order, protecting the Party, protecting the revolutionary government, and protecting the lives and property of the people.

Promoting tradition, The People's Public Security force strives to cultivate a strong political stance, tighten discipline, strictly implement the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security, join hands and overcome all challenges; closely and effectively coordinate with all levels and sectors, closely connect with the people, determined to build a clean and strong force, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks; build a truly clean, strong, elite, modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
