Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that during the Lunar New Year 2025, this enterprise will still maintain train trips on routes serving passengers visiting relatives and spring travel.
Specifically, on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route, on January 29 (the first day of Tet), departing from Hanoi station are trains LP3 at 9:20, LP5 at 15:15, LP7 at 18:10; departing from Hai Phong station are trains LP6 at 9:10, LP8 at 15:00, HP2 at 18:40. On other days, there is also train HP1 departing from Hanoi station at 6:00; train LP2 departing from Hai Phong station at 6:10.
The train accepts luggage, bicycles, and motorbikes to and from Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Cam Giang, Gia Lam stations (except HP1/HP2), Long Bien (only accepts bicycles and luggage), and Hanoi.
Hanoi - Lao Cai route runs daily, train SP3 departs from Hanoi station at 22:00, train SP7 at 22:40; in the opposite direction, train SP8 departs from Lao Cai station at 12:05, train SP4 departs at 21:30.
Southern route, maintains 7 pairs of Thong Nhat trains between Hanoi station - Saigon station to serve passengers traveling by train between localities along the route.
Hanoi - Vinh route, on January 29 (the first day of Tet), runs two trains: NA1 departs Hanoi station at 22:40, NA3 at 20:35; in the opposite direction, NA2 departs Vinh station at 22:20. On January 30, maintain NA1 train from Hanoi, NA2 train from Vinh; on January 31, maintain NA1 train from Hanoi; from Vinh, in addition to NA2 train, run NA8 train departing at 20:05.
On this occasion, the railway continues to apply the ticket price reduction policy for social and policy beneficiaries. Accordingly, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and revolutionary activists before the August 19, 1945 uprising receive a 90% discount on ticket prices. War invalids, people enjoying the same policies as war invalids, resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals; people with especially severe disabilities and people with severe disabilities receive a 30% discount on ticket prices.
Senior citizens who are Vietnamese citizens aged 60 and over receive a 15% discount on ticket prices. Children aged 6 to 10 receive a 25% discount on ticket prices. Children under 6 years old traveling with an adult are exempt from tickets. Children who are exempt from tickets must share a seat with an accompanying adult. Each adult is allowed to bring no more than two children with no tickets.
