On the morning of April 2, musician Tran Tien held a live concert announcement called Tran Tien - Half a Century of Wandering Silver . This is a special program, marking his more than 50 years of artistic career.
When musician Tran Tien appeared at the introduction, the audience was delighted because the musician in his 80s looked healthy and cheerful. He shared humorous and sincere things that touched the audience.
"I really wanted to meet the audience, but I'm getting old. Mr. Trinh Cong Son once told me not to go on stage when I'm old, because I would lose my youthful beauty. However, that's just the external beauty, even if I'm "too ugly", the audience will still love me," said musician Tran Tien.
Also during this meeting, the musician born in 1947 performed the song Khong Quac Nga to dedicate to his fans. Before singing, he also shared about the time he had cancer.
He confided: "I recently got nasopharyngeal cancer. The nasopharynx is what I use to earn money to support my wife and children, but it's cancerous, and it's stage 4 (laughs). At that time, I saw people who had the same disease as me, but couldn't stand the radiation treatments. There was someone 20 years younger than me, couldn't stand the radiation and passed away in front of me. You see, that made me collapse easily. By the 30th radiation treatment, I couldn't get up at all. At that moment, some melodies came to me, telling me, "Where is Tran Tien? Get up, don't be a coward!". That's when I wrote the song " Don't Fall Down ".
Musician Tran Tien added that he was very happy to be on stage soon, interacting with his audience. The male musician affirmed that although this was a show to celebrate 50 years of pursuing music, it would not be the last show of his career.
"I can live 200 years more, I can also leave tonight, that is not a problem. Everyone will leave, the important thing is that I always live in people's minds," said musician Tran Tien.
Concert Tran Tien - Half a Century of Wanderings will take place on the evening of May 13, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. The program is directed by Cao Trung Hieu and the music will be arranged by musician Duc Tri.
At the introduction, Duc Tri said: "I have worked with musician Tran Tien for more than 30 years, but this is the first time I have done a show for him. I have done a lot of shows, and up to now, I have rarely disappointed anyone with any show, and this show will be no exception."
In addition, this program also features guest singers who are familiar faces to the audience such as: Bang Kieu, Tran Thu Ha, Uyen Linh, Pham Anh Khoa, Trung Quan Idol, Du Ca group (An Nhien and Hien Le) and the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music choir...
