Thanh Buoi Bus Company announced that it will temporarily suspend passenger transport operations in provinces and cities from 5:00 a.m. today, October 29.

On the morning of October 29, SGGP reporters contacted Thanh Buoi bus company to book a ticket for the Ho Chi Minh City – Da Lat route. However, the staff informed them that the above passenger transport route had been discontinued.
At the same time, other routes such as: Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho, Da Lat - Can Tho have also been temporarily suspended. For customers who have booked in advance, the bus company will contact to refund. As for goods, the bus company still accepts to transport.

On October 26, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with Binh Thanh District Police, District 5 Police and Thu Duc City Police to simultaneously inspect the headquarters of Thanh Buoi Company Limited (Le Hong Phong Street, District 5); branches on Dien Bien Phu Street, Binh Thanh District and Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Thu Duc City. During the inspection, the police seized many documents.
Previously, on September 30, at Km48 National Highway 20, the sleeper bus 50F-004.83 of Thanh Buoi bus company, driven by Hoang Van Tinh, traveling from Dau Giay to Da Lat, collided with the rear of a truck 60C-345.13 traveling in the same direction, then continued to the left side of the road, colliding with a 16-seat passenger bus 86B-015.75 (Hai Dang bus company) traveling in the opposite direction. The incident left 5 people dead, 5 injured and 3 cars damaged.
Checking the journey monitoring device, Thanh Buoi car was traveling at 69km/h and exceeded the speed limit when the collision occurred. Afterwards, the police prosecuted and arrested driver Tinh for "Violating regulations on road traffic participation".
Vietnam Road Administration said that journey monitoring data recorded that the 50F-004.83 passenger bus of Thanh Buoi company that caused the accident on National Highway 20 through Dong Nai province had violated the speed limit 496 times in 3 months, from May to July 2023.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister issued an official dispatch requesting a comprehensive inspection of compliance with regulations on business and conditions for automobile transportation business with enterprises, business households with vehicles and people involved in the accident.
