Russia-Ukraine war today, November 30, 2024: Western aid is only enough for 2.5 AFU brigades. That is the statement of the President of Ukraine to the press.
In an interview with British television channel Sky News, Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky stated that the US and European countries only equipped 2.5 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with weapons.
President Zelensky complained about the small amount of aid from allied countries to the AFU and stressed that in 2023, Kiev had requested to equip 10 brigades to send to Western allies.
“I actually asked them more than a year ago. I said, we need to equip these brigades. We made these requests to the United States and our European allies, but so far, Europe and the United States have only equipped two and a half brigades,” the Ukrainian president complained.

The Ukrainian leader added that, in the current situation, lowering the military age in Ukraine would have no meaning in changing the situation on the battlefield.
The Biden administration has been pressuring Ukraine to lower its military age to 18 in order to rapidly increase the size of its military. According to a White House source, Kiev needs more troops to continue the conflict.
Oreshnik missile ready to attack
The Telegram channel Military Summary reports that the situation on the front line remains chaotic, especially on the Pokrovsk - Kurakhove - Velyka Novosilka axis.
In the direction of Pokrovsk, the Russian military is actively using drones to attack Pokrovsk. At the same time, the Russian side is developing an offensive south of the city. Over the past 24 hours, Russian assault units have been advancing in the direction of Shevchenko.
On the Kursk front, latest reports say that Russian troops have made notable progress north of Sudzha, where battles for Martynovka are taking place.
On the Velyka Novosilka axis, the Russians have taken control of Rozdolne. This attack poses a significant threat to the entire Ukrainian garrison in Velyka Novosilka. With the thrust towards Veliky Komar, this thrust could encircle the strategic Ukrainian town from the flank.
Meanwhile, the AFU was trying to counterattack south of the Kupyansk - Liman axis, recapturing some positions.
According to some sources, another launch of the Oreshnik medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile is scheduled for today, November 30. Earlier, Russian sources said on November 27 that the country had officially closed its airspace to flights over the Kapustin Yar test site, where the Oreshnik missile that attacked the Yuzhmash plant in Dnipro, Ukraine, was launched. The airspace closure at this location will last until November 30.
Some experts believe that this move could be related to the possibility that Russia is preparing for a new attack on Ukraine, possibly again with Oreshnik missiles or testing a new type of weapon.
The right bank of the Oskol River bridgehead is being expanded.
Readovka channel reported that the Russian army has expanded the bridgehead on the west bank of the Oskol River near the village of Dvurechnaya.
The Russian side has reinforced its foothold on the west bank of Oskol in the forest near the village of Dvurechnaya. Although there is little information coming from the ground, it is likely that the bridgehead has not only been strengthened and received reinforcements, but has also grown to a size that threatens Kiev’s forces.
The settlement of Novomlynsk was completely cleared by Russian units to form a "defensive belt" along the ravines running west from the village. From the fortified bridgehead, Russia would be able to begin further expansion of the area of control.
Meanwhile, Russian Assault Forces gained a foothold northeast of the village of Dvurechnaya, using the surrounding forests to gain access and limit casualties.
The AFU units were on the defensive, but low morale and being outnumbered and outgunned made efforts to stop the Russian attack very difficult.
In addition, after completing the mission of a lightning raid east of Kupyansk to attract enemy forces to attack the bridgehead near the village of Dvurechnaya, the Russian side has now withdrawn from the Kupyansk industrial zone.
Specifically, Russian assault units raided and held positions for a certain period of time in the inner city of Kupyansk to attract all enemy forces to the suburbs and neighboring areas. This led to the fact that the AFU positions on the banks of the Oskol River near the village of Dvurechnaya were empty, opening the way for Russian forces to attack using the “diversion to the east, attack to the west” tactic.
As soon as the bridgehead was formed, expanded and strengthened, the diversionary mission at Kupyansk was completed, the superiors ordered the forward units to retreat.
