On July 28, Chairman of the Trade Union of Cua Ong Coal Selection Company Do Van Tang was honored to be one of 10 trade union leaders nationwide to be awarded the 4th Nguyen Van Linh Award in 2024. Growing up from the grassroots and having many years of direct involvement in the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers, Mr. Do Van Tang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Cua Ong Coal Selection Company is always an enthusiastic "leader", accompanying the profession, for the workers, for the sustainable development of the enterprise.
As a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Trade Union (TKV), the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation for the 2023-2028 term; Chairman of the Trade Union of Cua Coal Selection Company, Mr. Do Van Tang always strives for innovation in ideology, organization and leadership methods according to the motto of practicality and efficiency; performing well the representative function, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers so that the trade union organization can grow stronger. Mr. Tang shared that the great heart and affection of trade union workers must be devoted to workers, ensuring full social policies for workers. The team of trade union cadres must be selected from those who have directly experienced the reality of work, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of workers. And the most important thing is that union officials must do everything from their "heart", from their responsibility, only then can they understand, share and fulfill their role as the voice and representative of the interests of workers.
Enthusiastic and full of enthusiasm, in 8 years as Chairman of the Trade Union, he, together with the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the Company's Trade Union, has implemented many solutions to improve the efficiency of trade union activities by promoting the automation of some units in the production line. Strengthening the application of information technology in management; gradually adapting to the integration process of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, meeting current and long-term production requirements. Mobilizing union members to apply information technology in management, operation and trade union activities; implementing digital transformation according to the roadmap of TKV and the company. Thereby, maintaining stable jobs for workers; improving working conditions and taking care of the lives of workers, civil servants and laborers. Affirming that, the average salary of workers, civil servants and laborers has continuously increased. If in 2015, it reached 6.9 million VND/person/month, then by 2023, the average salary reached 13.2 million VND/person/month; in the first 6 months of 2024, it reached 13.9 million VND/person/month, equal to 120% of the plan.
The highlight of the company's trade union activities during the period when Mr. Tang was the leader was the practical organization of emulation movements, ensuring that emulation is used as a lever to accelerate all activities. He and the Executive Committee of the Trade Union coordinated with the professional organization to effectively implement the emulation movements of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation and the emulation movements launched by TKV, contributing to encouraging the spirit, overcoming difficulties, and completing the company's tasks... Typical is the creative labor movement, promoting technical innovation initiatives. During the term, the company had 1,733 recognized technical innovation initiatives, with a value of over 33.4 billion VND; registered to implement 127 emulation projects to undertake difficult projects in production, and serve the lives of workers, civil servants, and laborers with a total value of over 27.38 billion VND...

In particular, the Chairman of the Trade Union Do Van Tang, in 2022 - 2023, there were 10 initiatives applied to the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities. Typical examples include solutions to take care of the lives of workers and orphans, disabled, autistic, and children of workers of the company on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2022; solutions to organize activities to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023; promulgating a plan to organize a contest to create a propaganda video clip "Trade Union in my heart" posted on the company's Facebook social network and specific scoring regulations; organizing a launching ceremony to respond to the Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene, Workers' Month 2022 directly at the hall and online via MSTeam software...

Another noteworthy thing in the union activities is that Mr. Tang, together with the Executive Board of the Company's Union, has carried out many activities to care for employees effectively: Organizing 22 meetings and dialogues at the company and units with 3,368 employees, 185 opinions; providing 195 legal consultations to 20,748 people; coordinating to support 550 employees in the procedures to terminate labor contracts; participating in resolving retirement and organizing meetings with 590 workers, civil servants, and retired employees. The Company's Union has spent money for 3,108 employees to go on tours, vacations and support treatment with a total amount of over 1.2 billion VND; coordinating to care for and protect the health of employees, providing periodic health check-ups for 20,496 people, and detecting occupational diseases for 5,600 people...
With his efforts and dedication to the trade union organization, Mr. Tang has fulfilled his duties and responsibilities, directly directed and together with the Executive Board of the Company's Trade Union, Cua Ong Coal Selection Union members, deployed and successfully completed the tasks and built the company's trade union organization to be increasingly stronger, becoming a reliable support for workers, contributing to the overall success of the company.
Trade Union Chairman Do Van Tang is always full of enthusiasm and passion in the workers', civil servants' and trade union activities. In addition to the noble Nguyen Van Linh Award, he was also honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; a Certificate of Merit and a Certificate of Creative Labor from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and for 5 consecutive years he achieved the title of grassroots emulation fighter; every year he was evaluated as a party member who completed his tasks excellently... However, the greatest success and pride for him as well as the Executive Board of the Company's Trade Union through the periods is the spreading and marking of the proud development of the workers', civil servants', laborers' and trade union activities of Cua Ong Coal Selection Company throughout the 64-year journey of construction, growth and development.
