(QBĐT) - The Provincial Party Committee has just issued Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU of the 17th Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference, dated April 14, 2025. Accordingly, the number of commune-level administrative units after merger and consolidation is agreed to be 41 communes and wards (36 communes, 5 wards) under the province according to the Proposal of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Project of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee. Specifically as follows:
I. Commune-level administrative units do not merge (1 unit)
Tan Thanh commune , Minh Hoa district.
II. New commune-level administrative units after merger and consolidation (40 units)
1. Establish Dong Hoi ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Bao Ninh commune, Duc Ninh commune, Nam Ly ward, Dong Hai ward, Dong Phu ward, Duc Ninh Dong ward, Phu Hai ward and Hai Thanh ward.

2. Establish Dong Thuan ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Loc Ninh commune, Quang Phu commune, and Bac Ly ward.
Current office location: Bac Ly Ward.
3. Establish Dong Son ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Nghia Ninh commune, Thuan Duc commune, Bac Nghia ward and Dong Son ward.

4. Establish Ba Don ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Quang Hai commune, Quang Phong ward, Quang Long ward and Ba Don ward.

5. Establish Bac Gianh ward on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population size of Quang Phuc ward, Quang Tho ward and Quang Thuan ward.
