Deputy General Director, Chairman of TSC Vietcombank Trade Union received the Nguyen Van Linh award

Comrade Phung Nguyen Hai Yen, Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Head Office of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) was honored to be one of the 95 Chairmen of the 5th National Excellent Trade Union and Trade Union and received the First Class Labor Medal.

On July 28, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), in Hanoi, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the 4th Nguyen Van Linh Award ceremony, commended 95 outstanding and exemplary grassroots trade union and trade union chairmen nationwide for the 5th time and received the First Class Labor Medal.

Attending the program were comrade Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly; comrades of the Party Central Committee: Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Bui Van Cuong, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office; Nguyen Thuy Anh, Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs; Nguyen Dac Vinh, Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education and comrades of leaders and former leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Among the 95 outstanding grassroots trade union and trade union chairmen nationwide honored, the Vietnam Banking Trade Union has one representative, comrade Phung Nguyen Hai Yen, Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Headquarters of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), who was honored this time.

As the Chairman of the Vietcombank Headquarters Trade Union - the grassroots trade union with the largest number of union members in the Vietcombank system, with more than 3,000 union members spread across three regions, from 2017 to present, Comrade Phung Nguyen Hai Yen has directed the collective of the Headquarters Trade Union to successfully complete Vietcombank's business tasks and successfully complete the union's work plans. The Vietcombank Headquarters Trade Union regularly coordinates closely with the professional sector to take care of improving the material life of employees, such as the regime for female employees; support for travel on holidays and Tet, funeral expenses, vacation expenses for union members and employees; organize gift giving for cadres and relatives who have contributed to the revolution, war invalids and martyrs; give gifts to parents; pay birthday gifts for cadres; provide sickness and illness allowances for cadres and relatives.

In particular, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietcombank Headquarters Trade Union has promoted its role in caring for and supporting workers' lives so that they can perform well the "dual task" of both preventing and fighting the pandemic and developing the economy and society.

Comrade Phung Nguyen Hai Yen also directed the Vietcombank Headquarters Trade Union to always pay attention to and attach importance to social security work, demonstrating the enterprise's social responsibility to the community, contributing significantly to enhancing the image and brand of Vietcombank. With these achievements, the Vietcombank Headquarters Trade Union has been commended by the Vietcombank Trade Union for many consecutive years as the "Excellently Completing Tasks" Trade Union.

From 2017 to present, with his active activities and contributions in professional work and trade union activities, he has been continuously voted as an excellent trade union member and "Good at banking work, good at housework" by Vietcombank Trade Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
