Threads was launched by Meta earlier this year and has easily become one of the hottest platforms on the market, with the expectation of replacing X (which was rebranded from Twitter by billionaire Elon Musk). The app has surpassed 100 million users in just 5 days of launch.
However, Threads currently does not have many features, for example, users cannot delete their Threads account without deleting their Instagram account. However, recently Wccftech said that the team building the Threads social network is completing this feature.
Screenshot shows Meta's new social network will allow users to delete accounts
The latest screenshots show that Threads will include an option for users to delete or deactivate their accounts. Notably, if users choose to delete their Threads account but want to return for some reason, they will have to wait 120 days before they can log in to the app, a period equivalent to 4 months that is really confusing.
The feature isn't rolling out widely yet, but users will soon see them on their Threads accounts, and can then delete their Threads accounts without having to delete their Instagram accounts.
Threads is still considered a social networking application with a lot of potential to be able to replace X (Twitter) although most of the features are still not complete. The team building this social network is working hard to soon release complete features, recently the application has a version for use on computer browsers.
