Japan Business Job Fair

Nearly 30 leading Japanese corporations and enterprises participated in recruiting more than 2,500 jobs and internships in Japan and Japanese affiliated enterprises at the "Japan Job Fair 2023".

The event was organized by the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT), the Center for Enterprise Cooperation, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) in collaboration with Panaso Corporation Japan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, in person and online on November 4.

Participating in the Festival, Japanese corporations and enterprises such as Aeon, Yakult, Organo, Ishida, Sanyo Road Industry, Noippon Parking Development, Knowledge Creation Technology, Hitachi Vantara... recruited workers in the following fields: Construction engineering, control and automation engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, communications, economics, manufacturing, construction... This is an opportunity to connect students, schools and businesses; create conditions for businesses to access and recruit potential human resources; good opportunities for students to intern and find jobs.

Speaking online from Japan, Mr. Tokiwa Mitsuo, Deputy Director, Trade and Economic Cooperation Office, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, highly appreciated Vietnamese students and the “Japan Job Fair 2023”. He said that the event is the best platform to attract Vietnamese students to Japanese enterprises and consider finding jobs in Japan. The event is even more meaningful as it takes place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

According to Mr. Tokiwa Mitsuo, nowadays, many companies realize the importance of expanding their business overseas and inviting competent experts from all over the world to work and cooperate in their enterprises. Therefore, Japanese companies and Japanese affiliates in Vietnam operating in many different fields participate in this event to seek Vietnamese personnel with expertise and high skills.

One characteristic of Japanese companies is that they provide job opportunities for both fresh graduates and experienced workers. In particular, Japanese companies have a long history of not only having a lot of experience in training employees but also giving careful advice to new graduates. Therefore, this will be a good opportunity for students and job seekers to improve their professional skills. “We really hope that Vietnamese students will work at Japanese companies or Japanese affiliates not only as employees but also as partners in co-creating new businesses in the near future. Therefore, let's work closely together,” Mr. Tokiwa Mitsuo recommended.

Highly appreciating the cooperation program with Japanese corporations and enterprises, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology affirmed that the Recruitment Day is an opportunity for Japanese enterprises to introduce products, exhibit technology and recruit students in various majors. This is a good opportunity for students to be exposed to new technology, approach employers, and learn about the labor market in Japan.

Many students, after learning about career fields in Japan, have also applied for jobs that match their major. For students, the recruitment fairs are meaningful because they get to meet businesses, learn about the needs of employers, and have the opportunity to try their hand.

Participating in the recruitment at the Fair, Mr. Masahiro Satou, President of Mitani Sangyo Company, said that every year, the Company recruits Vietnamese engineers who are international students in Japan. However, recruiting engineers is very difficult, especially engineers who know Japanese. Hopefully, at this Japanese business job fair, the Group will find engineers who understand the principles of creating Japanese Monodzukuri products and apply them in practice.
