Every officer and employee of Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (Ky Anh Town - Ha Tinh) carries with them the hope for a new year of safe and stable operation of generators, contributing to ensuring national energy security.
Working atmosphere on the first day of the new year at the Central Control Room, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant.
Temporarily putting aside the New Year holiday, Mr. Nguyen Ba Dong - Deputy Manager of the Operation Workshop (Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant) is still working hard with his engineers and workers to control the generators in the central control room. Operating the plant on the first day of the new year, Mr. Dong brings with him the belief and determination for a smooth and lucky start.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Dong shared: “My house is in Tan Ky district, Nghe An province. During this holiday, I had to put aside my personal concerns and focus on safely and stably operating the generators with my colleagues. Promoting the efforts and achievements in 2023, entering the new year 2024, each officer and employee of the factory is determined to successfully complete the tasks and targets assigned by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation, making an important contribution to the growth picture of Ha Tinh industry."
On the first day of the new year 2024, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant welcomed a coal ship from Quang Ninh province to dock at the plant's wharf.
After arriving at the port, the coal will be transferred to the warehouse of Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant via conveyor belt.
Mr. Vu Van Tho - Manager of Fuel Workshop, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant said: "According to the assigned tasks, all workers have a high sense of responsibility, performing the tasks of loading and unloading, transferring coal to the warehouse. Proactively developing a coal storage plan ensures serving the production line, operating the plant continuously 24/24 hours".
This morning, nearly 80 officers and workers of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Technical Services Joint Stock Company, Ha Tinh Branch, are still diligently performing regular maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery at the Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant as planned. All are aimed at the goal of operating the generators safely and effectively.

Mr. Nguyen Mau Cam - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company said: "During the New Year holiday, the Board of Directors of the company and the leadership team of the Operation Workshop, Fuel Workshop, Safety and Materials Departments... still closely followed the scene to direct the operation work at the plant. Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant always maintains a 3-shift, 5-shift regime on duty 24/24 hours, safely and stably operating 2 generators with a total capacity of 1,200 MW to ensure the load demand under the management of the National Power System Control Center. At the same time, the company also proactively coordinates with contractors to regularly repair and maintain technical items to ensure safety, quality, and progress according to plan, contributing to improving the availability of generators".
According to Mr. Nguyen Mau Cam, to encourage the spirit of staff and workers during the holiday, the factory ensures all benefits for workers; creates motivation, competitive spirit, and determination to successfully complete the goals set in the new year.
In 2024, Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company aims to reach commercial electricity output of 6,468 million kWh.
2023 is a successful year for Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant when Unit 1 was successfully put back into operation after nearly 2 years of being temporarily suspended due to technical problems. This important event has contributed to increasing the company's revenue as well as creating momentum for growth for Ha Tinh industry. Accordingly, in 2023, the total electricity output of the company is estimated to reach 4,573 million kWh of electricity, with total expected revenue of VND 8,932 billion.
Continuing the growth momentum, in 2024, Ha Tinh Oil and Gas Power Company sets a target of commercial electricity output of 6,468 million kWh, revenue of VND 11,675 billion and payment to the State budget of VND 244 billion.
On the first day of the new year 2024, the production line at Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant - the largest coal-fired thermal power plant in the Central region, was running smoothly. In the urgent and hurried working pace, each cadre and employee of the factory raised their spirit and determination to reap achievements and contribute to the development of Ha Tinh province.
