
In 2023, the Provincial Tax Department directed and organized the implementation to exceed the State Budget estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee (excluding land use fees ) with a revenue of 1,136 billion/1,120 billion VND, reaching over 101% of the estimate . Key tax tasks: Propaganda to support taxpayers , tax registration management, electronic tax refund , debt management and tax debt enforcement ; tax inspection , examination, internal inspection ... all completed and exceeded the assigned targets.
2024 is a breakthrough year to complete the Resolution of the 14th Dien Bien Provincial Party Congress, the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025. In 2024 , the collection of 1,909.6 billion VND was assigned . In the context of many forecast difficulties and challenges , the Provincial Tax Department set out 4 key tasks and 4 implementation solutions . In which, focusing all resources, drastically and synchronously implementing all solutions to manage tax collection and debt recovery ; preventing budget loss .
Speaking at the conference, comrade Lo Van Tien requested the provincial Tax sector to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the direction of the Government, the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee on the main tasks and solutions to direct and implement the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimate for 2024. Proactively follow the requirements of the province's political tasks in each period to concretize them into the sector's programs and plans. Focus on creating new revenue sources, nurturing revenue sources, collecting correctly and fully, not losing tax revenue. Coordinate with the Department of Finance, Dien Bien Customs Department, the Provincial State Treasury, and relevant professional agencies to proactively grasp the budget collection situation in the province, the tax debt situation, and arising issues to advise the Provincial People's Committee to promptly direct solutions to resolve them.
The Tax sector continues to strengthen administrative procedure reform; strictly implement the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Finance in upgrading and perfecting tax management processes in accordance with changes in tax policies and laws. Promote automation of the process of receiving and handling tax administrative records and procedures. The Tax sector must truly innovate comprehensively, build a truly clean and strong tax agency at all levels to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
