(NLDO) – Consecutive programs connecting banks and businesses in Ho Chi Minh City have been organized in an effort to promote credit capital at the end of the year.
On the morning of October 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, a dialogue conference between businesses and the District 1 government and a signing ceremony between banks and businesses in the district in 2024 took place. The goal is to remove difficulties and provide preferential loans for businesses.

This is the third dialogue event in the past week, part of the banking industry's efforts to increase support for businesses as credit growth in Ho Chi Minh City in the first 9 months of 2024 reached less than 6%, lower than the national rate of 9%.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy An, Vice Chairman of District 1 People's Committee, emphasized the importance of the bank-business connection program in supporting more than 27,000 businesses and 10,000 business households in the area. During this period, 6 major banks committed to supporting 56 customers with a total outstanding loan of VND 14,210 billion, of which VND 971.6 billion was signed directly at the conference.
From 2012 to present, more than VND 640,000 billion has been disbursed to 28,884 customers in District 1. In 2024 alone, 17 banks in Ho Chi Minh City participated in the program with a total amount of more than VND 509,800 billion, of which 83.4% has been disbursed, equivalent to VND 425,600 billion, helping businesses access capital with preferential interest rates from 5.5% to 6.5%/year.
