(Dan Tri) - Every March, when passing Ha Nha bridge in Dai Hong commune (Dai Loc district, Quang Nam), visitors will be amazed by the red cotton tree blooming in the middle of the Vu Gia river alluvial plain.
These days in March, tourists traveling from Da Nang to Nam Giang and Phuoc Son districts (Quang Nam) across Ha Nha bridge in Dai Hong commune, Dai Loc district, looking to the right, will see the red cotton tree in full bloom, lighting up a corner of the sky in the middle of a vast alluvial plain with corn, potato, soybean fields... The elders here said that the kapok tree has been there for about 100 years. When they came here, the kapok tree was already there. The kapok tree is also a childhood memory for many people here. Coming back from a long trip when the kapok flowers are in bloom brings back childhood memories, remembering the times when they played under the tree. By the end of the second lunar month, the red cotton flowers gradually fade, and in their place, new leaves begin to appear. The tender buds stretch up to "breathe the air", waiting until the following year to continue to offer life bright red flowers. The locals here call the red cotton flowers a natural gift from heaven.
According to the locals, this kapok tree is very sacred, so they protect it very carefully, no one cuts it down or violates it. Because it is protected, up to now, the kapok tree has grown very large, the base of the tree is nearly 10 people can hug, the canopy spreads out to shade an entire area. The red cotton tree blooms brightly among the green space of the crop fields. The cotton tree stands "alone" but radiates its bright colors among the yellow of soybeans, the green of trees, and in the distance are green mountains... When the cotton flowers bloom, birds flock together to chirp all day long. When the wind blows, the cotton flowers fall down, creating "flower showers". Every season when the cotton flowers bloom is also the time when young men and women come to take photos and check-in (Photo: Vu Cong Dien). Ha Nha Bridge, Vu Gia River and the vast alluvial plain with the people's fields and gardens create a beautiful scene here. Only once a year in the spring, the cotton tree blooms, providing an opportunity for people and tourists to admire the beauty of nature and the sky.
