Lancet drone precision strike
Video footage of a Russian Lancet suicide drone attack on a patrol ship serving the Ukrainian Navy has just been made public by SF.
A Russian drone attacked a Ukrainian patrol boat as it moved along the Southern Bug River near the city of Mykolaiv. The target was successfully hit at a distance of about 50 km from the nearest Russian positions.
The attack was recorded by another reconnaissance drone. The recorded images show that this reconnaissance aircraft encountered no obstacles while moving to the location of the attack.
According to video footage, the Russian ship Lancet crashed into the cabin area on the right side of the boat.
Some experts believe that the target of the Russian attack was one of the American Island-class patrol boats transferred to Ukraine. In total, the US transferred four Island-class patrol boats to the Kiev government after they were decommissioned in the US. One of them, the Slavyansk, was destroyed in March 2022. The others, the Starobilsk, the Fastov, and the Sumy, are still in service.
After the start of the special military campaign, the Russian Lancet drone was upgraded and the recent combat situation showed that it can easily approach targets at extreme distances of up to 50 km. Lancet drone attacks are often carried out together with ZALA reconnaissance aircraft, whose mission is to search for and mark targets.
50 Ukrainian drones destroyed
In the Odessa region, a large fire is said to have broken out at a warehouse storing Ukrainian drones. According to SF, pro-Russian guerrillas launched an attack on a Ukrainian military facility in the Odessa region.
Representatives of this guerrilla group said that the attack took place in the village of Usatovo, located on the outskirts of Odessa. The target was a warehouse where drones and electronic warfare equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were stored.
After the attack, more than 50 drones, electronic warfare systems to neutralize drones, foreign-made anti-drone rifles and other military equipment were destroyed.
